Today, President Bush has once again shown he has little regard for the common American. His response when asked about the expected $4 per gallon price this summer: “That’s interesting, I hadn’t heard that.” What?! The president of the United States, right in the middle of the downward spiral of the economy, with all his big oil ties says he hasn’t heard of it?
So instead of questioning the oil companies, his solution to help Americans with the high price of gasoline is for congress to make his first-time tax cuts permanent. I don’t know about you, but I didn’t see any of those tax cuts.
What a slap in the face to the average American.

Well, I didn’t really expect the President of the United States to know what is going on in the nation that he is leading. After all, he’s got assistants and vice presidents to deal with the everyday aspects of his life. Oh and he’s got the war to think about. Better to stick your thumb is everyone else’s pie than to your own, right?
Exactly. Bush has spent billions of our dollars on his war. He spends more time trying to administer Iraq than he spends on helping his own country. You would have thought occupying this oil-rich country would have given us cheaper gas. Oh well, the rich get richer while the poor get poorer.
